The Fairfield Community Foundation is pleased to seek applicants for the Four Seasons Garden Club Scholarship in the amount of $1,500 to college or technical school bound men or women who are graduating from area high schools this year and who reside in the City of Fairfield or Fairfield Township.
Please read the following carefully, complete the application and return it before 2:00 pm Friday, April 12, 2019 to the Fairfield Community Foundation, 5350 Pleasant Ave., Fairfield, OH 45014. Please note that late applications will not be accepted.
ABOUT FOUR SEASONS GARDEN CLUB
The purpose of the club is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening: to promote an interest in the cultivation, usage and arranging of flowers, to encourage civic planting and the conservation of natural resources.
Student applicants shall be students graduating from high school in the year 2019. They must reside in Fairfield or Fairfield Township. Their diploma may be from any public, private, technical school, or home school.
The awardee selected should be enrolling in studies in Horticulture or related fields, such as Conservation, Nature and Beautification, Landscape Design or Landscape Contraction, Turf Management, Commercial Florist or Floral Arts.
USE OF SCHOLARSHIP
Grant money may be used for any legitimate college/technical school expenses such as tuition, fees, books, room and board. The scholarship will be paid directly to the college or university. The student selected should be attending an accredited four-year college or university or technical school and pursuing a degree or certificate in a horticultural-related field.
The winner will be selected by the Fairfield Community Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee.
This is a one-time, non-renewable scholarship. The amount of the scholarship is $1,500.00.
