Fairfield Women is honored to award two $1,500 scholarships to college bound women who are graduating from high school this year and who resides in Fairfield or Fairfield Township.
Please read the following carefully, complete the application and return it before 2:00 pm Friday April 12, 2019 to the Fairfield Community Foundation, 5350 Pleasant Ave., Fairfield, OH 45014. Please note that late applications will not be accepted.
ABOUT FAIRFIELD WOMEN
Fairfield Women is a non-profit organization whose fundraising efforts have benefited many local charities. Its purpose is promoting goodwill throughout the community through charitable deeds, offering stimulating social and educational programs, and promoting fellowship among members.
Student applicants shall be females graduating from high school in the year 2019. They must reside in Fairfield or Fairfield Township. Their diploma may be from any public, private, technical school, or home school.
Awardees will be rated primarily based on Community Volunteer Service and School & Community Activities. Other considerations will be Academic Performance, Colleges and/or Universities applied to, Intended major, Reason for major and Personal statements.
USE OF SCHOLARSHIP
Grant money may be used for any legitimate college expenses such as tuition, fees, books, room and board, the scholarship will be paid directly to the college or university. The student must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university and pursuing a baccalaureate degree, two-year associate degree program, or an accredited trade school.
A Fairfield Women Committee will have the total responsibility for awarding the scholarship. There are no names on the applications and this is an objective point-based process.
These are a one-time, non-renewable scholarship. The amount of each scholarship is $1,500.00.
